Join us to welcome back Houston's own Frog Hair to the stage at Continental Club!
FROG HAIR formed in Houston in 2015 as a duo, expanding quickly into a full band when Scott Ayers — guitarist of the legendary Pain Teens — came aboard alongside bassist Michael Haaga of deadhorse. FROG HAIR has shared the stage with Mudhoney, Mike Watt, Hawkwind, Cherubs, Tripping Daisy, Ringo Deathstarr, and A Giant Dog.
Following Haaga's departure, the band reshaped around a second album, Mouse in the Belly of the Snake, released digitally in April 2020. That same year, longtime friends JJ White and Michael Rollin — who had long supported each other's musical endeavors — began collaborating in earnest. With Rollin joining as drummer and Ben Murphy coming aboard on bass in 2023, FROG HAIR arrived at its most cohesive and adventurous lineup yet.
Their forthcoming album Bad Goodbyes reflects that evolution. Across nine tracks — recorded songs, interstitial pieces, and interludes assembled from years of improvised jams, culled and looped back into the album's fabric — the band builds a deliberate front-to-back arc.
