Jennifer Knapp is a Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter, author, speaker, and advocate with a career spanning over two decades.
Her first three albums, the Gold-certified “Kansas” (1998), “Lay It Down” (2000), and “The Way I Am” (2001), sold over one million copies combined. She’s earned four Dove Awards and two Grammy nominations.
Knapp was the first major Christian music artist to openly discuss LGBTQ+ identity, a stance that led to appearances on Larry King Live and TEDx. In 2012 she founded Inside Out Faith, a non-profit supporting LGBTQ+ rights within faith communities. She recently completed a master’s in theological studies at Vanderbilt Divinity School.
