Founded in 1981 by maestro José Hernández, Mariachi Sol de México de José Hernández is an internationally touring ensemble celebrated for bringing mariachi into symphonic and mainstream settings. The group has received multiple Grammy/Latin Grammy nominations, recorded extensively, and Hernández has also advanced mariachi education through the Mariachi Heritage Society and the all?female Mariachi Reyna de Los Angeles.
