David Eric Robertson (born July 19, 1958) is an American conductor who served as music director of the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra from 2005 to 2018 and was chief conductor and artistic director of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra. He led Ensemble Intercontemporain (1992–2000), is a noted champion of contemporary music, and has recorded widely (including works by John Adams) with multiple Grammy-winning releases. He is Director of Orchestral Studies at The Juilliard School.
