Formed in 1983 by Nick Richards, Boys Don't Cry scored an international breakthrough with the single "I Wanna Be a Cowboy," which reached No. 12 on the US Billboard Hot 100 in 1986. The band's video featured a cameo by Lemmy Kilmister; they released two full-length albums in the 1980s, later re-formed (2009-present) and have issued re-releases and new material on Richards' HEADGAMES label in the 2020s.
